Practadgoal Talking Points
[7:00] Kerry shares the five things you need to have before you do a speaking engagement.
- When you speak somewhere you want to have a summary of what you want to share and 3-5 takeaways that your audience can go implement.
- Your bio is your entrepreneurial resume so you need to continuously update it so that it always highlights your most important achievements.
- Always have these five things ready to go so that you can submit them when a speaking opportunity arises.
[13:42] Kerry explains unique ways to get information on your audience.
- You can hand out surveys to get valuable information from your audience as well as their contact information.
- Once you have their contact information you can follow up with them for your business.
- As a speaker, it is your job to have a process in place for what you do with all of the leads you get.
[27:49] Kerry explains why the next step with your leads is always on you as the speaker.
- Just because you don’t hear back from a lead doesn’t mean you should give up and stop following up.
- When you call for a follow-up, you are going to be talking with someone who is already familiar with you, not a cold call so enter the call with confidence.
- It is important that you do not abuse the leads that you get. You have to remember the human element.
[34:06] Kerry shares her best tips for presenting or speaking on Zoom and how to use it as a marketing tool.
- You want to make sure you have good lighting and sound so you make a great impression.
- It is important that you bring a lot of energy when presenting online so that you can hold everyone’s attention.
- You can make it interactive and still hold giveaways when you are virtual.
